Monticello is the home of Thomas Jefferson. It could be labeled his "autobiographical masterpiece" as he built and rebuilt and designed and redesigned for more than forty years. Jefferson described the house as his "essay in architecture. Throughout the years this architectural wonder has endured and today it is recognized as an international treasure. Monticello is the only American house that is on the prestigious United Nations' World Heritage List of sites. Jefferson had a vegetable garden that he used for agrarian research. His scientific approach to testing and cataloging plants from all over the world is a testament to his wide variety of talents.

Included in the Vault are images of: Virginia, Alexandria, Charlottesville, Harpers Ferry, Jamestown, Monticello, Mount Vernon, Norfolk, Richmond, State Capitol, White House of the Confederacy, Williamsburg, Yorkstown, Air Virginia: CITIES
